I think if you asked this question to anyone under the age of 35, probably will say ... "Yes." With the advancement of smart phones, tablets and laptops, desktop wide screen and the ability to view and retrieve and interact with information on employment, it is difficult to ignore the fact that technological phenomenon is not going away and probably will rise to even more great tools!!!
The question remains, can we see the value in advertising in traditional media such as newspapers, magazines, flyers and other printed media like? Being a professional young myself and a core of our focus on the Internet, I would hesitate to claim a large part of the budget to this media. For what? Well, when receiving many inquiries from anecdotal evidence, via the Internet and talked with buyers as they saw the actual ads, this refers to spending up to $ 15,000 in paper declaration process expensive and probably wastefully. Especially when listing your property online process relatively cost effective (but more expensive than the week it seems!)
But ... There have been cases where the old paper good run has its benefits. Particular demographics, lifestyle characteristics and upper echelon of architecturally designed properties, I would say there is still a place to print. Sometimes when you're dealing with millions of dollars, does not want to leave any stone unturned.
One example was an elderly woman picks up a East area run on paper, knowing that her son and his wife were looking for a property in a particular region, their phones up and tell them that. They actually hadn't seen the property, and then seen it online, and I like it personally, and strike me down, bought the place next week. How many emails you receive daily? If your alerts settings or were not in place, it's easy to skim through e-mail and do take note. That's all it took, a simple phone call from a negative buyer to start the process of converting the buyer negative red one lane. It doesn't happen all the time, but it certainly happens, could mean an additional $ 50,000 in auction room or faster than anticipated selling them at a great price.
So to answer the articles title, yes we see the importance of paper advertising, but in individual circumstances and specific property demographics.
In saying that, we'd love to hear your thoughts on Facebook or Twitter for all of the above!!!
